    Samson's strength actually did not come from his hair. He was a Nazirite and already had a special relationship with God. Since Samson revealed to Delilah that his strength lay in his being a Nazirite from birth and therefore let himself get into a position where Delilah cut off his hair, God removed his spirit from Samson since he treated this relationship as something that was not valuable.
